Copywriting

Turn your knowledge, experience, and ideas into website content that helps customers understand who you are, what you do, and why they should choose you.

A Copywriting Service That Turns What You Know Into What Customers Need to Hear

At Appelhans Designs, copywriting is included with every website design project because strong design needs strong information to support it. That's why the 60–90 minute in-person or virtual meeting in Our Process matters: we ask questions, listen to how you describe your business, and gather the information we need before we start writing. We use what we learn to develop content that works alongside your Website Design and SEO strategy, and you can explore our Portfolio to see how those pieces come together in real projects. Our copywriting experience includes content for Home Services, Contractors, Automotive, and E-Commerce businesses, along with companies across other industries.

What is Copywriting?

Copywriting is the written content that helps customers understand your business, services, products, value, and what they should do next. On a website, that includes everything from headlines and service descriptions to calls-to-action, About content, FAQs, and the information that helps a visitor make a decision. Effective website copy isn't about filling empty space between photos or forcing keywords into paragraphs—it should make complicated information easier to understand and give each page a clear purpose. At Appelhans Designs, we use what we learn directly from you to turn your knowledge and ideas into organized content that still sounds like it belongs to your business.

Write for Your Customers. Give Search Engines Something to Understand.

Before your content can help with SEO, it needs to help the person reading it. Search engines also need useful, relevant information to understand what a page is about and when it may be appropriate to show that page to someone searching for a product, service, or answer. Strong website copy should establish the who, what, where, when, and why—who you serve, what you offer, where you provide it, when or under what circumstances someone may need it, and why your business may be the right choice. Those answers naturally create context around your services, locations, expertise, and related topics without repeating keywords simply to get a search engine's attention. When SEO and copywriting are considered together, we can organize content around search intent while keeping the finished page useful, readable, and persuasive for the person who actually lands on it. We can't guarantee where Google will rank a page, but we can give customers and search engines substantially more useful information than a beautiful website filled with thin, generic, or repetitive content.
